On Sunday 25 June, the Chapter Members made a pilgrimage to Lovere retracing the significant places in the life of our saints. For some of them it was the first time they “touched” the place from which the charism started. Great was the emotion and gratitude!!! Lovere awaited the arrival of the Chapter members from all over the world and there were many signs of welcome received. First of all in the Eucharistic celebration at 10.30 in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Valvendra, presided over by the parish priest Don Alessandro Camadini. The mayor of the city was also present. At the end of the Mass some children from the nursery school gave their drawings to Mother Venita and the General Assistants. We then went to the Sanctuary to contemplate the beauty of the vault and ceiling after the restoration. In the afternoon the Chapter sisters were invited to board the historic Lovere’s boat La Capitanio, built in 1926 and to which this name was assigned to celebrate the solemn beatification of the Lovere’s saint. Afterwards, the sisters went to the Crystal theater of the Lovere oratory, to watch the sand art show through which the story of the Saints is narrated. The last stop is in Sellere, in Cascina Mariet, where they are welcomed by the community present there and by some lay people of the spiritual fraternity. It was indeed a beautiful day.
