Crespano del Grappa, Italy
The kindergarten «Umberto I» of Crespano has grown up under the guidance and loving care of our sisters; this bond has been maintained throughout the years and in the hearts of the people even if, now, the sisters do not live in the parish structure. This year the course of «Catholic Religious Education (IRC) accompanied the children and their families to learn about the figures of the saints and among them we gladly presented Meulì, a joyful girl eager to help and welcome anyone in need.
On 6 June, the children of the abovementioned kindergarten were happy to visit our community «Madonna del Grappa» where several elderly reside; they are all Meuli’s sisters called by Jesus to stay with him, share their lives and take care of his friends. It was a joyful moment of gratitude for the many sisters who had received the vocation to teach and care for others through their many services.
Then, we had a lovely link with the «Village of Life» in Chirundu. We dialogued online with Sr. Shilla Banda and the wonderful children she looks after. With these joyful children, we shared songs, greetings and the desire to keep the link alive even in the future, making sure that the kilometres that separate us may not be a limitation but an opportunity to broaden our gaze towards people who live far away but live under the same sky.
