Gaziabad, New Delhi: Mahila Samithy is an organization founded in our parish for the women, especially for the mothers of families. Today the families have many problems to face which are always increasing; hence, it is a prime need for women to learn to handle them. Some of the problems they put forward are broken relationships, alcoholism, lack of love, understanding, infidelity of partners and the consequent unrest in the families. During the family visits and the group meetings of «Mahila Samithy», we tried to motivate them. With this purpose, a day of prayer was arranged for them at Dasna Mussoori on the 26 March. They were very eager to participate in it.

The programme started with a prayer conducted by a youth leader. The two input sessions by Fr Bellarmine OFM highlighted various issues and problems and how to tackle them through counselling and prayer. After these sessions, there was time for Confession, the Eucharistic celebration and the Adoration to praise and thank the Lord and to intercede for others. A picnic was also organized for women so that they may stay together sharing, binding their wounds and building up relationships. They have participated willingly in the games prepared for them and have done their best to act out a few passages based on the resurrection of Jesus, taken from the Gospel of St John. In the end, Fr Justin gave a speech on Mary our Mother, followed by the prayer of the Rosary. In these gatherings, the women feel supported, encouraged and respected.

All expressed their joy and gratitude to Sr. Reginalda and the Fathers for the wonderful day they had together. Then, they have decided to recite the Holy Rosary together in the church during May to intercede for the needs of the family, the Church and the world.
