This morning around 9.35, while we were gathered in assembly, a surprised and unexpected visit reached us: Pope Francis, as soon as he left the Polyclinic, came to us and presented himself in the chapter Hall. His ability to get close to us, even in a moment of such great physical fragility, moved us and made us feel the living presence of Jesus in our midst and the love of his Church. He wanted us all to sit down and then he spoke to us his words, simple, sometimes joking, but profound and true. He invited us to be mothers and sisters, reminding us that this is only possible if we live in the spousal bond with Jesus, to be courageous, not waiting to have everything planned out on paper. He reminded us that the Lord wants us close to the people, because it is the people who live and testify to us the faith. May his blessing for the whole Institute accompany our journey on the paths of charity.
