Letter 267
TO THE SAME
She sends him scripts after a special prayer to St Aloysius.
Very Reverend Father Confessor,
As agreed upon, I am sending you the method of life and
the other paper you told me to draw up. To tell you the truth, I
felt at a loss how to do something that was, and is, quite
beyond my limited capacity, and I almost had no will even to
try. But then I firmly said to St Aloysius: «If you want and are
keen on being honoured, teach me how you wish it to be done;
you must dictate the words and I will take the slight trouble to
write them down».
After that, I recited some short prayer for the work in hand, and
then without delay I began to write, jotting down on the paper
whatever came to mind. It is up to you, then, to correct what is
wrong, add what is lacking and cancel what is not needed or
not appropriate.
The Union Meeting, if you have no objection, will be on
Monday, about midday, in the Sacristy of our Sodality.
