TO THE SAME
A sisterly pact - Wishes for his mission preaching - She entreats him to
have no fear of ending up in hell.

HAIL TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Very Reverend Father Confessor,

I am enclosing for you the Novena of the Sacred Heart. I
would very much wish you to add something to it yourself,
Rev. Father.
Since you have been so kind as to accept me as a sister
in well-doing, I make bold to beg you to make the intention of
renewing this pact every time you have to give the Absolution
to anyone. On my part I have made the intention of renewing
my pact with you every time I kiss Jesus or Mary.
If you feel any inspiration for my poor soul, don’t drive it away.
I haven’t had the time to write out the method of life nor
what I mentioned to you the other day. I will give it to you on
your return from the preaching of the Missions. The Sacred
Heart of Jesus will surely help you in your labour for Him. I
wish you every success in all that you undertake for his sake,
and also an immense love of God that will consume you
through and through.
