7. Fix the hour for the Association Meeting on all
Sundays and feast-days, which should not coincide with
that of celebrations at the Parish Church nor create serious
difficulties for household duties.
8. When the celebration of some Mystery of Mary falls
on a weekday, the meeting may be held in the usual
manner.
9. Once a year, which could be the anniversary day,
prayers for the souls of the members departed will be said;
a Holy Mass is celebrated and Matins and Lauds from the
Office of the Dead are recited.
10. Fix the regular procedure for the Meetings, as
follows:
1. While all the members are gathering, each one, after
genuflecting will do a bit of meditation or say some prayer.
2. Vespers are started; these are recited in two choirs
with composure, moderate voice, and with devout pauses,
without artificiality of manner.
3. Some spiritual Reading is done: points chosen
should be simple and adapted to the girls’ capacity of
comprehension. Choose a girl for it who has a clear
pronunciation and who can read intelligently.
4. A brief exhortation by the Priest: He should insist on
virtuous habits of modesty, obedience, reservedness,
Christian self-denial, reverence in church, diligence in
carrying out one’s duties, living in peace with everyone, and
above all, watchfulness on one’s senses, purity and the
holy fear of God and what is deemed appropriate to instil
good habits.
