- The collection in the book, the many devotions it suggests
and their meaning, may be interesting to the one who
intends to do a specialized study. Not making available an
English translation in the hands does not become, for that
reason, a detriment to the purpose of formation of the
members, that the Institute intended (and intends) to pursue
also by facilitating a direct knowledge of the sources.
In handing over the translated volume, we renew our thanks
to all the sisters who in different ways have contributed to it and
to the superior generals who have promoted and sustained the
work.
A special thanks to sr. Maximilla. She left us on 27 May
2020, affected by Covid -19 in her already frail old age. In the
communion of Saints, she intercedes now for all of us that
faithful love towards God, the poor and the Institute that has
always characterized her, even after she returned from her long
missionary experience in India. She was in fact aware of living
for that same love serving in the offices of translation of the
Generalate where she has put to use with humility and
professionality her intellectual talents and all her capacities. May
the Lord reward her and her example help us.
