because I had no time to write to her, and give her my warm
wishes. Give my sincere regards to your Uncle Don Carlo and
Lady Angelina. I beg you to say three Hail Marys for a very
urgent need of mine. We shall meet again on Mt Calvary,
where our most gentle Spouse expects us to be close to him in
his suffering. Ever yours in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your faithful Sister and Friend
CAPITANIO BORTOLAMEA
The shirts will be attended to, so do send them.
But send them through me, because I have spoken with Sr.
Alma; you would not know who they are meant for.
To my dear three Sisters,
P.S. I have received your welcome letter this very minute.
Thank you for your concern for me. My laziness along with a
slight sickness prevented me from writing to you sooner.
However, I wrote this letter many days ago, but I had no
opportunity to send it. I received the wishes you sent me
through Maria Triaca: thank you very much. Oh well! I do
apologize for my indolence, and in future I will be more faithful
to you.
I beg all three of you to offer a Holy Communion for my
intention. I sign off in a hurry, leaving you on Mt Calvary, filled
with compassion for Jesus who dies for our sake.
