With the desire to ‘go out’ where life cries for help, a missionary experience was planned  by sisters and the laity. The proposal came from the community of Tinogasta from where the sisters withdrew their service in 2004. The participants were: sisters and lay persons from Argentina (Buenos Aires, San Miguel, Avellaneda, Lincoln, La Pampa, Villa Giardino, Cordoba, Catamarca) and from Uruguay (Montevideo). At Tinogasta we were welcomed by the parish priest, Fr Humberto Carrizo.

«Encountering him is the best gift we have received, and making him known through our word and deeds is joy for us». (Aparecida 29). This was our experience of the sharing of the charism of charity that we lived from 13 to 23 January 2018. We came from different geographical, family and cultural realities yet we were all members of the missionary group «Maria Bambina». In Tinogasta, with Fr Humberto who was very available, we worked closely with the families of the district «La Pace», welcoming people and sharing our experience of faith. In turn, we were enriched by what we received.

Some testimonies of this experience

It was a rich experience of the ‘outgoing Church’, sharing the charism of charity with different vocations. We have been close to the marginalised, encouraging them to be protagonists of their history and build a community of life and faith, where Jesus is at the centre; this promotes them to become workers of charity. Wasn’t this the story of Bartolomea? (Sr. Susana Vanni)

I feel very grateful for this experience of an ‘outgoing Church/ Institute’, where life cries out strongly… «Jesus does not need perfect people in order to do good things but even with our frailty and limitations we can do many good things with others». (Sr. Gisela Klundt)
