“The Saints are …. people through whom God has passed.

We can compare them to the Church windows which allow light to enter in different shades of colour.

The saints are our brothers and sisters who have welcomed the light of God in their heart and have passed it on to the world, each according to his or her own “hue”.

But they were all transparent; they fought to remove the stains and the darkness of sin, so as to enable the gentle light of God to pass through.”

                                                              (Angelus – Pope Francis 1 November 2017)

Also St. Bartolomea has let the light of Jesus pass through her all throughout her life.

“My beloved Jesus,

I thank you for the love you have given me.

Now I want to do the one thing that is

pleasing to your heart: to dedicate myself totally

to the good of my neighbor.

All that you have given me:

Life, hands, feet, intelligence…

I offer them so that they may become

a common good.

The poor, the sick, the homeless, the youth…

They will be my point of reference

I shall not let one day pass by

without caring for them…

Day and night I shall not spare

I want to do everything willingly

With joy and humility of heart.”
